The Christmas day
On the day of Christmas, which is celebrated in Nicaragua on December 24th, families early in the morning get ready to start placing ornaments and decorations in order to enhance the meaning of this day.
Some families go to church with an open heart to receive Communion, to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus and to thank God for making life possible.
Parents are also buying what is necessary to make a Christmas Dinner. It is a long and anxiously awaited moment. Together with the family we all sit down in peace and harmony by the dinner table. We pray and give thanks to God for the meal our parents made for us.
The time of opening the presents is very much awaited by the children and adolescents because here is when they get what they have all been waiting for the whole year round. After opening the presents the firework starts and we have a great time and lots of fun.
